Joe Collier to star in Keira Knightley film

Joe is playing the Demon butcher of Covent Garden in The Duchess, which tells the story of the scandalous 18th-century English aristocrat Georgiana Cavendish, Duchess of Devonshire. Joe was initially contacted to supply game for use in a market scene, but was then asked to take part as an actor. This is not Joe's first foray into the world of movies. In 2002, he supplied meat for the film Nicholas Nickleby, including an artificial umbilical cord he made from sausage casing. After meeting the production company, he had a small role in that film, too, as the chef in the wedding scene. Joe described his latest experience as "nerve-wracking, but enjoyable", after spending a Sunday filming at Greenwich naval museum in London.
