Countrywide launches interent service

COUNTRYWIDE FARMERS (CwF), the UK's leading farming, equestrian and rural supplies business, is to go live with an online service later this year.

Independent retail IT specialist, Paul Mason, of Consulting (PMC), has been enlisted to develop the project. Managing director, John Hardman, says online trading is a logical step in the company's development.

"With many of our customers living and running businesses in isolated rural locations, an online service is clearly a very appropriate and complementary alternative to visiting our stores."

Commenting on the link up with PMC, Hardman said: "They gave us practical advice on product range to ensure we achieve effective supply."

Mason of PMC said: "We are pleased to be working with Countrywide on this programme and look forward to helping them develop their strategy."
