Sponge bath for staff

 - Published:  01 September, 2006

Top staff at ABP are putting themselves in the firing line as part of an event to help raise awareness and funds for the Butchers' & Drovers' Charitable Institution (BDCI).

The event, taking place on 12 September, will see eight managers from ABP's Ellesmere plant in the stocks facing trial by wet sponge. Those wishing to take revenge on the ABP managers do not even have to turn up on the day as the soaking can be done by proxy, with full downloads of the event available to ensure your splattering takes place.

At £50 per sponge, ABP Ellesmere is hoping to raise as much money for the BDCI as possible. The current list of victims includes; general manager Andrew Cracknell, operations manager Shaun Kay, commericial manager Steve Thompson, account manager Geoff Mason, engineering manager Stuart Joslin, boning hall manager Jason Togher, abattoir manager John Davison and retail manager Steve King. If your chosen victim does not appear on the list, the team has promised to get them there.

The BDCI was set up in 1828 and has helped thousands of people with a connection to the UK meat industry. Contact: Terri Wilson on 01939 272022 or email terriwilson@abpltd.com
