Christmas is coming, goose fat is getting bigger

 - Published:  01 November, 2006

Wiltshire based Highgrove Fine Foods, is extending its offering to butchers and meat traders with the launch of a new Christmas ambient range that will build on the success of its Goose Fat brand.

The range has been launched to target the growing number of food enthusiasts who are looking for 'meal enhancing' and 'meal-accompaniment' solutions in addition to their seasonal meat purchase.

In addition to Highgrove's own Goose Fat, the product line-up includes a range of easily prepared country stuffings from Chiltern Herbs - flavours include apple & mint, apricot & cranberry, red onion and roasted garlic - and jarred ham glaze, cranberry sauce, brandy butter and mincemeat from Lakeshore Foods in Ireland. Keith Collins, managing director, said: "Our Highgrove Goose Fat is a product that has been hugely successful for us. After a near sell-out period in 2005, we are hoping to drive sales even further."
