Gibsons celebrate with a license to thrill

Gibsons Foods was founded by brothers Colin and Edward Gibson, and is still an independent family run business today. The company began trading within instore bakeries across the North West, hand crafting fresh sandwiches to order. In 1989, the company moved to Ellesmere Port, where they are still based today; this enabled the business to centralise sandwich production to maintain high levels of quality and set product specifications.

Now with over 350 employees supplying leading UK multiple retailers such as Morrisons, Co-op and Asda with top quality sandwiches and salads, Gibsons Foods has become a leading player in the 'on the go' market and has built up a sales turnover in excess of £20m.

Edward Gibson, Gibsons Foods chairman, said: "This is an incredible milestone to reach. The company has gone from strength to strength due to everyone's focus and dedication to providing the highest quality products and service. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our staff and suppliers for their commitment and loyalty over the years."

To celebrate, Gibsons Foods hosted a 'Casino Royale' theme party for all staff on 12 October, with live casino, disco and buffet, at Vauxhall's Sports and Social Club.

The company also held a raffle and top prizes won included a £200 holiday voucher donated by Gibsons Foods Chairman as well as a whole host of hampers and high street vouchers.
