Great Yorkshire Competition
Butchers across Yorkshire are being urged to submit their entries for the 19th annual Great Yorkshire Pork Pie, Sausage, Black Pudding & Beefburger Competition 2007.
The contest, which will take place on 4 November at Bradford's Cedar Court Hotel, is organised by the Confederation of Yorkshire Butchers Councils.
It is the biggest and best known regional meat trades competition in the country and trade stands will be setting up on the day, showcasing products and services available to butchers from recognised industry suppliers.
The closing date for entries is 27 October. Entry forms have been distributed to all butchers across the country and can also be printed from the new competition website at www.greatyorkscomp.co.uk. There is no limit on the number of entries in all classes.
