A fire has killed 4,500 chickens as it swept through a barn in Scotland.
A fire has killed 4,500 chickens as it swept through a barn.
It happened on the night of Friday 5 January at a farm in Sprouston, Roxburghshire. Lothian and Borders Fire and Rescue extinguished the fire quickly but the timber building was destroyed. All the birds in the shed died.
The fire service are investigating the cause of the fire, which may have been caused by an electrical fault.
