Crown sees rise in halal poultry

Demand for halal food is growing all the time, according to halal poultry supplier Crown Chicken.
The firm, which has teamed up with established halal supplier Tahira, is now supplying Tahira-branded fresh poultry to a number of retailers, including Budgens and Makro. David Manley, head of sales and marketing at Crown, revealed that a new deal with Randall Par-ker Foods had been struck to offer lamb and broaden the range.
