FSA seeks contractor to devise training for poultry catchers
The Food Standards Agency is looking to appoint a contractor to devise and deliver a biosecurity training and education programme to poultry catchers in Scotland and Northern Ireland.
The main objective of the Poultry Catcher Training Programme will be to develop and deliver high quality, targeted training promoting key biosecurity messages to poultry catching teams in Scotland and Northern Ireland.
The contractor will be required to develop a suitable training package, based on key biosecurity messages from the Agency's Cleaner Farms, Better Flocks Initiative, and deliver approximately 20 training seminars to poultry catching teams operating across Scotland and Northern Ireland by 31 March 2008.
The Agency aims to award the contract by 27 December 2007 and ensure it is in full operation as soon as possible after this date to guarantee that completion is possible by 31 March 2008.
