Recipe website a hit for NI

Out of the hundreds of recipes on the Livestock and Meat Commission's website, www.lovebeefandlamb.com, the above three proved to be top of the list in 2008.

The website, dedicated solely to Northern Ireland Farm Quality Assured beef and lamb, was developed by the LMC to focus on the versatility, quality and flavour of Northern Ireland Farm Quality Assured beef and lamb.

Over 40,000 users visit the site on average each month to choose tasty, mouth-watering and nutritious dishes, ranging from the juicy beef burger to the luscious rack of lamb with a rosemary and mustard crust.

The site also contains all the latest nutritional news, cooking and preparation tips, information to help consumers select the right cut of meat, as well as red meat safety and hygiene.

Recipes are there to be shared and LMC plans on adding some new recipes to suit all budgets, bringing together combinations of different flavours and textures from the best of ingredients to create delicious meals.
