Burly blokes beef up for iconic role
Quality Meat Scotland (QMS), the red meat industry's promotion body is on the hunt for a beefy man to be the new face of the iconic Scotch Beef adverts.
The kilted and strapping figure of Glen has become a firm favourite with consumers, gracing billboards, magazines and television screens throughout Britain
QMS is seeking a fresh new face to take the brand forward, and are expecting to see a slew of tall, dark and handsome Scotsmen over the next few weeks.
QMS head of marketing Suzie Carlaw said: "Glen has struck a chord with consumers the length and breadth of Britain and has helped make Scotch Beef one of our best loved brands.
"As you can imagine it's going to be a tough job to find someone who's the perfect fit for the kilt and Scotch Beef t-shirt but we are confident that the next Glen is out there."
The burly beefcake behind the successful promotion of Scotch was introduced in 2001 to instant success, and has scooped awards from the Marketing Society and the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising.
The new Glen is set to be unveiled at the QMS Stand on the Royal Highland Show on the 21 June.
If you think you're the right man for the job, you can contact Louise Welsh, director of communications at QMS on 0131 472 4112.
