Bernard Matthews back on TV after 10 years

The campaign - Bernard Matthews, Sponsors of Christmas Dinner - features four different creative treatments focusing on the most important family meal of the year, with two 20-second and two 10-second commercials running at peak viewing times from 17 to 27 December on mainstream and satellite channels.

The ads convey a typical Christmas family scene around the dinner table and are designed to appeal to consumers of all ages.

The commercials have been shot in the style of a family home movie. The boy of the family directs 'The Christmas Dinner', starring Mum, looking relaxed under the stress of the big occasion, Dad as 'The Carver', and Bernard Matthews' bootiful Golden Norfolk Turkey at the centre of the action.

Each commercial ends with the strapline 'Bernard Matthews, Sponsors of Christmas Dinner', to communicate both the brand's ownership of this festive occasion and the 'movie' style of the campaign.

Bernard Matthews' marketing director, Matt Pullen said: "Most people who sit down to a traditional Christmas dinner will be having turkey and all the trimmings. Turkey is at the core of the Bernard Matthews' brand and we have been feeding the nation at Christmas for over half a century, so it is only fitting that we should be giving major support to Golden Norfolk Turkey at this time of year."
