Viscofan expands
Global casings manufacturer Viscofan has announced it has expanded its operations with several recent acquisitions, including TeePak in America, Koteks in Serbia and Tripasin in Sweden.
It now has 20 subsidiaries in three continents and has embarked on a rebranding exercise to emphasise its global position. The sausage casings company now has a new logo with bright colours, which the company said "signifies dynamism".
A recent extension of Viscofan's range means the company now offers fibrous casings. The group's portfolio is divided into cellulose, collagen and fibrous casing products as well as 'Coffi' (collagen film) and plastic casings.
The company's production sites are spread across several countries in Europe and America and in the UK, Kent-based Naturin operates a country-wide technical sales and customer support operation.
