Wylye Valley shuts up shop
The ongoing struggles of the pork sector has claimed another victim, with Wylye Valley Foods shutting its doors.
The company has gone into voluntary liquidation after the directors decided to wind the business up in the face of increasingly difficult trading conditions.
Geoff Waters, purchasing and sales director, said the business was not bankrupt, but added that due to the challenging trading conditions, the directors had decided to end things and move on.
"Everyone has been paid, and we're now just winding the company up," he said.
The Warminster-based business was founded in 1981 and employed 35 people.
