Supermarkets on board Love pork campaign
More than 100 million on-pack stickers promoting the Quality Standard Mark (QSM) for pork will be appearing in supermarkets across the country.
The stickers are part of the Love QSM Pork campaign currently being run by the British Pig Executive (BPEX).
All the major supermarkets are committed to the campaign, some of them keeping it on-pack until the end of this year.
BPEX consumer marketing manager, Chris Lamb, said: "Our national account managers have been working very hard on this and it is extremely gratifying to see all the major supermarkets coming on board.
"It is probably the most prominent campaign BPEX has ever run and the stickers will be very visible on the front of the packs.
"Some of the supermarkets are not just doing it as a quick promotion but have made a long-term commitment which runs, in some cases, to the end of the year."
The supermarkets taking part in the retail campaign are Tesco, Sainsbury's, Morrisons, Asda, Somerfield, the Co-op and Waitrose.
