Pork feast for the east
Pork producers from the east will be among those exhibiting at Taste of Anglia's 11th annual food and drink festival, Feast East, which will take place between 8-10 March 2007 at Chilford Hall, in Linton, Cambridgeshire.
Over 80 of the region's producers will showcase an array of products from the eastern counties, from farm produced cheese and ice cream, to meat, to local beers, wines, preserves and cakes.
Trade buyers and members of the public will descend on Chilford Hall over the three days to sample and buy from the region's top producers. Opening hours are: 8 March, 3-7p.m. - trade and press visitors only (free entry); 9 and 10 March, 10a.m. - 5p.m. - open to the public (£5 entry).
A special marquee will host a range of cookery demonstration, including a celebration of the region's pork producers. Special recipes will be cooked during the event to inspire visitors to try something new.
Jane Whyman, events manager at Tastes of Anglia, said: "Feast East provides a solution for anyone looking for products with provenance and regional history. It is a great day out for trade visitors and consumers alike."
