Trade agreement for Canada

EU ministers have been asked to approve a trade agreement with Canada, giving its exporters the rights to send thousands of tonnes of meat to EU markets.

New quotas would include: 4,624t of pork rate at E233 to E434/t duty; 1,265t of frozen boneless hams and loins at E250/t; 4,070t of various chicken cuts at E93 to E512/t; 1,605t of fowl cuts at E795/t; and 2,485 tonnes of frozen turkey cuts, duty-free.
