Llanidloes lamb man retires

 - Published:  27 April, 2007

Alan Horine (pictured) has retired from Randall Parker Foods in Llanidloes, after serving the meat industry for over 50 years. Horine has almost always been involved in marketing and he has been particularly successful in establishing Welsh lamb throughout Europe.

He will continue to represent the Randall Parker Food Group, as chairman of the Guild of Welsh Lamb and Beef Suppliers, and on forums and committees. He is also a director of HCC - Meat Promotion Wales.

His career started on Smithfield Market in 1953. After several years with the Vestey Group, North Devon Meat and Barretts and Baird, he joined Hamer International, now Randall Parker.
