Spain meets Wales

Welsh suppliers played host to leading Spanish supermarket buyers last week. The buyers visited key quality Welsh lamb supply exporters throughout Wales in search of quality lamb to meet their market's demands.

The visit, arranged by HCC, included visitors from a company that supplies top Spanish supermarket chain Mercandona, which has around 1,000 stores in Iberia and north Africa.

The party visited Bron-y Fedw Farm, a mountain farm near Betws Garmon, Gwynedd, owned by G.G.Williams & Sons during their visit to Wales. The family farm produces the type of smaller, export lamb preferred by Spanish consumers
