Help for sheep farmers

 - Published:  19 May, 2006

SHEEP FARMERS are being given help and advice to cut down their costs with the launch of a new booklet.

The publication, issued by the English Beef and Lamb Executive's (EBLEX) Better Returns Programme, looks at minimising labour at key times of the year, including over winter and at lambing. Careful breeding strategies and selection are explained in the booklet, entitled 'Target Easier Management For Better Returns.'

The publication, which is free and available now, is the sixth in a series, designed to help English sheep farmers.
