Scotland's annual Festival of Scotch Lamb launches in the butcher sector this week

boosted by the news that the red meat industry body, Quality Meat Scotland (QMS), has drawn on its financial reserves to considerably increase the size of this year's promotion.

QMS is committing an initial £100,000 to take spend on the campaign to £400,000. The organisation is still waiting on a response to its request to the Scottish Government for one-off support to aid the Scottish sheep sector.
