FMD Tests Negative On Third Farm

The tests confirm that the 362 cows, sheep, pigs and goats which were slaughtered on suspicion of foot and mouth at Hunts Hill Farm did not have foot and mouth disease (FMD).

The negative results will come as relief to the farming community, although the results from the fourth suspected case are still pending.

A 3km temporary protection zone has been set up around the farm at Wotton, near Dorking, and will remain until the tests come back.
