Poles see best of British
A group of Polish beef farmers and breeders saw what the best of British specialist breeders can offer when they visited an East Midlands farm this week.
The group of 17 were introduced to a herd of 300 Charolais and more than 60 Saler cattle being raised on a farm run by Peter Donger, at Towcester, Northamptonshire.
The trip, which was designed to help boost interest in our beef and breeding stock, was hosted by the National Beef Association (NBA) and managed by the English Beef and Lamb Executive (EBLEX). It included several other farm visits and a day at Beef Expo at Skipton.
Peter Reynolds, regional manager for EBLEX, said: "They were a very pleasant group who enjoyed their visit and had some very positive things to say about the things they saw."
