Weddel Swift gains ABM accreditation
Weddel Swift Distribution has achieved Assured British Meat (ABM) status, making it fully assured and an approved distributor and supplier of bone-in Quality Standard beef.
England's Rose Quality Standard beef, produced by Dunbia Sawley and sold exclusively by Weddel Swift, already conforms to the quality specifications of the EBLEX's Quality Standard scheme. The ABM accreditation, however, means it can also now be sold as bone-in as well as boxed primals and guarantees the handling, storage, cutting and distribution of all meat that goes through the firm, ensuring its
products meet strict quality control standards.
Andy Lea, commercial development manager for Weddel Swift, said: "We can now offer full traceability of all our procedures and products from the accredited
depots, which are fully assured and regularly inspected."
