Chilled beef exports and imports down

EU third country trade figures for the first four months of the year show both imports and exports of chilled and frozen beef were down on 2005 volumes.

Imports from Brazil were down by more than 20% to 49,000t and, at just under 19,000t, 11% less was imported from Argentina.
