Southover Food launches Cooked Smoked Back Bacon
Award winning meat manufacturer and specialist food distributor Southover Food Company has launched Cooked Smoked Back Bacon.
Following on from the success of its hugely popular range of own brand gammons and cooked meats, Southover has come up with the Southover Cooked Smoked Back Bacon as an alternative to raw bacon. Sourced in England from free-range pork and traditionally oak smoked at the company's dedicated premises in East Sussex, it costs the same, slice per slice, as raw bacon.
Steve Pearce, managing drector at Southover, said: "We have been exploring new ground to add to our existing Southover Cooked Meats range. Working closely with caterers, we are aware of potential space issues they may have. Our Cooked Smoked Back Bacon aims to solve this problem, offering a tasty, cost effective choice for outlets wishing to add bacon to their menus. It's a winner in terms of both taste and ease of use - and it makes the perfect bacon sandwich in seconds."
Southover Food Company gained EFSIS accreditation in 2007.
