Pie range draws on experience

Twenty years of pie-making in restaurants has led Edward Moon Proper Pies to introduce a premium pie range along with other ready-made products, including quiches and tarts.

Products from the company based in Stratford-upon-Avon include the Eblex award-winning Spitfire Pie, which contains Herefordshire casseroled beef in a gravy with Shepherd Neame's Spitfire ale.

Other traditional flavours include minced beef and ­onion and meat and potato, plus recipes such as lamb Navarin, smoked haddock Florentine and Mogul buttered chicken.
