French Meat Club in fact-finding mission
French meat traders and processors in the lamb and beef market in France are visiting Wales this week.
HCC/Meat Promotion Wales organised the trip for 28 representatives of the French Meat Club and are promoting PGI Welsh lamb and beef .
The French Meat Club is an informal group that travels abroad once or twice a year to view techniques in other countries. They will be visiting Wales between 29 March - 1 April. The visit will include trips to abattoir owners, agrifood companies and manufacturers.
Rees Roberts, HCC chairman said: "This is a great opportunity to communicate and enhance our business relations in France.
"We have organised a varied itinerary for them so that they can experience the different aspects of the Welsh red meat industry as well as enjoy the delights Wales has to offer," he said.
