Staying in the know

FRENCH CONSUMERS and traders will be targeted as future customers when the English Beef and Lamb Executive (EBLEX) sets up its stand at the giant SIA food and agricultural show in Paris.

EBLEX will be promoting the best of home-produced beef and lamb along with a show of live sheep and beef and sheep genetics. With the expected relaxation of export controls in the Spring, the spotlight will be thrown on beef in preparation for the resumption of trade between England and France.

Peter Hardwick, EBLEX International Manager, said: "SIA is a really worthwhile show for us - it attracts enormous interest from both the French public and buyers in the country." Over nine days, 800,000 visitors are expected to attend the show
