John Scott Meat Ltd supplies beef, lamb and pork products, including bone-in and boxed meat portions to independent shops in the west of Scotland, primarily Renfrewshire and Ayrshire. It was founded in 1968 by farmer John Scott and the company is now run by son Jamie and daughter Hazel in Paisley.

Hazel Scott, managing director of John Scott Meat said of the acquisition: "We are next-door-neighbours and we know each other well. There is minimal overlap and by combining our joint expertise we will be able to offer our customers a range of first class products and even better service."
Together the businesses employ 42 people and there will be no job losses as a result of the acquisition.
