Steam-cooked bacon contract
COOKED INGREDIENTS company TMI Foods has established a trading partnership with a Dutch meat products manufacturer to produce a range of steam-cooked bacon.
The Northampton based firm has agreed a deal with leading meat products manufacturer J.G. van der Mey in Holland which will see the Dutch firm supplying steam-cooked bacon for TMI's food manufacturing customers.
EFSIS accredited, J.G. van der Mey is a major supplier of meat products for retail and wholesale operations throughout Holland and other international markets. Its products include steam-cooked back bacon for ready meals, loin slices and smaller bacon pieces as toppings and lardons.
TMI Foods' managing director, David Abbott, said: "Steam-cooked bacon has significant growth potential, and van der Mey is developing a number of new products with us to complement our existing range of cooked bacon products."
