Theives steal meat
Thousands of pounds worth of organic meat destined for Christmas tables has been stolen from a farm in Lymington, Hampshire.
A refrigerated unit on Warbourne Farm was broken into between 5pm on Friday 8 December and 8am on Saturday 9 December and approximately £40,00 worth of beef, pork, lamb and venison was taken.
All of the meat is marked with the Soil Association (SA) logo, indicating it has been reared organically.
Police Constable Nick Wright of Lymington police station said: "This is a significant loss for the owners of the farm as the stolen meat made up a large quantity of the Christmas stock. There will be many disappointed customers who have already made their Christmas orders."
