Champion on carcases

Sainsbury's product technologist Julien Pursglove presented Dermot Weaver with the supreme championship for a pair of carcases at this year's Royal Welsh Winter Fair.
Weaver farms at Hanley Swan in Worcester. The carcase competition was jointly sponsored by Randall Parker Foods and HCC - Meat Promotion Wales and attracted 172 entries. Pursglove commented on the excellent standard of the entries and noted that the majority of the carcases fell in the retail specification weight.
