TFC in elite meat deal
TFC Express has struck a deal with a Chilean producer Chile Wagyu to increase imports of the highly sought-after Wagyu meat.
The Wagyu cattle originate from Japan and produce the heavily marbled Kobe beef, known for its extreme tenderness, apparently due to its grain feeding regime.
Wholesale prices for top-end cuts are based on the marbling grade of the eye muscle, fat colour, and flesh colour of the ribeye.
Prices from the Santiago-based producer start at £60kg. Cheaper cuts such as roasting joints are available from £15kg. Wagyu steak prices start at £18kg and trimmings sell for £9kg.
TFC ships all its products chilled, delivered on dry ice, and it comes with fully traceable records.
