Milestone for Family Business

Family-run MRC Ltd, a leading UK supplier of glazes, seasonings, coatings, marinades and dressings is celebrating 30 years in business.

The company offers a range of products for the retail, food service, catering, food processing and butchery sectors.

Roy Dixon, the current chairman, set up the business in 1976, with son Gary currently at the helm driving the business forward.

Gary's brother Lee Dixon, the former England international, joined his father and brother to mark the occasion. Lee is well known from his days as a footballer for Arsenal and, as well as his interest in the family business, is involved in a number of other food projects.

Roy said: "This is a real milestone for the business and we're delighted to celebrate 30 years.

"In 2003, we invested in new purpose built premises with state-of-the-art facilities and this has helped the business continue to grow - we now employ over 40 people.

"We know our success has been built very much on our commitment to customer service, our constant product innovation and on the dedication and hard work of our staff."

Gary said the company's aim was to remain at the forefront of development - both proactively in-house in response to changing trends and market demands, as well as working directly with customers to generate bespoke products.
