ANM Group chief executive Brian Pack has been recognised for his outstanding contribution to the Scottish food and drink industry.

At the recent Scottish Food and Drink Excellence Awards dinner in Edinburgh, Pack received the Royal Highland and Agricultural Society's Lifetime Achievement Award.

Gareth Baird, chairman for the Royal Highland Food and Drink Committee, said: "In making this award to Brian, we are recognising his major contribution to the whole food chain, from primary production, through to processing, marketing and retailing.

"All along he has been a champion of closer links within the industry and continues to forge a better understanding of the importance of farm and food production to the national economy and life of Scotland."

Pack said: "It was very gratifying to be recognised by one's peers for such a unique award. It is recognition of the tremendous effort of the ANM team to make a difference, and I thank them all for their support over the years."

The award was set up in 1998 to recognise excellence, innovation and quality over a span of years by an individual, company or product.
