Executive changes at LMC

 - Published:  17 May, 2007

The Livestock and Meat Commission for Northern Ireland (LMC), has announced changes to its executive team.

Dr Mike Tempest, formerly technical manager has been appointed technical director, and Naomi Waite, formerly head of marketing, has been appointed marketing director.

Both Tempest and Waite will continue to report to the LMC's chief executive, David Rutledge. The change in titles reflects a broadening of responsibilities, necessary to deliver the strategic plan.

Owen Brennan, Chairman of LMC congratulated both Tempest and Waite: "This is a time of major change for the Northern Ireland beef and sheep industry and the LMC executive technical and marketing functions are central to facilitating the industry response to those changes. On behalf of the board, I wish both Mike and Naomi every success in the future."
