New manager for Mey

Tracy Waters, who has significant experience of the foodservice, hotel and catering sectors, is joining North Highland Products at a time of massive expansion in its farmer membership, (currently running at over 270), and increased distribution of its Mey Selections product range through its retail and foodservice customers.

She said; "The reason I really wanted to be part of North Highland Products is because I believe passionately in the objectives and strategy behind Mey Selections and I know that I can contribute to its success."

Waters brings to her new role a practical understanding not only of the foodservice sector, but also a close affinity to Caithness and Sutherland.

"Over the past eight years I have often visited my uncle, Father John Allen, whose parish extends through Thurso, Wick and the Orkneys and in that time I have been privileged to learn, at first-hand, just what makes this area so special, with the ability to produce some of the highest quality food products in the country," she explained.

Dr John Strak, Managing Director of North Highland Products Ltd, added: "On behalf of the directors and farmer members of Mey Selections I welcome Tracy to our team. I have no doubt that she will make a very big contribution to what is probably the fastest growing food and drink company in Scotland. Tracy is definitely a lady on a mission."
