Food From Britain launch new website
A new website has been launched by market development consultancy Food from Britain (FFB) to help British food and drink companies boost their sales and branch out into new markets in the UK and overseas.
The website, which went live on 1 March 2007, is designed to be a one-stop-shop for British producers, whether they are looking to build their sales in new international markets or grow the market for quality regional food in the UK.
The site will also enable buyers to source information on and make contact with companies that are able to provide the goods or services they require.
David McNair, chief executive of FFB, said: "The new site has been designed to give clear, concise and easily-accessible information for both producers and buyers in order to increase the presence of British food and drink across the globe.
New features of the site include FFB's monthly newsletter, Food from Britain, providing up-to-the minute information on the latest market trends and opportunities for British manufacturers, overviews of international markets and a 'What to eat this month' section, where the UK's leading chefs will provide recipes highlighting the very best of regional and seasonal produce.
"The most important objective for us when designing this site was to ensure it provides all the latest information necessary for British food and drink companies interested in expanding their businesses.
"We are confident we have provided a website that does this with ease and simplicity, while demonstrating our passion for British produce," said McNair.
