Russian meat co granted management standard

A leading Russian meat producer has been granted the certificate of compliance with GOST ISO R 9001-2001 (ISO 9001:2000) quality management system.

Cherkizovo Group has been awarded the certificate which applies to the development, production and delivery of a variety of meat products, including; cooked sausages, semi-smoked and cooked-smoked sausages, products for school consumption, smoked products from pork, beef and poultry, ham, raw smoked sausages, dried sausages, pastes and liver sausages, jellied meat, aspics, and ready-to-cook products from meat, poultry, pork and beef.

Alisher Adylov, head of department of research and development of Cherkizovo Group, said: "One of Cherkizovo Groups' main objectives is the constant improvement in quality of our products.

"The introduction of modern management technologies, such as quality management system ISO 9000, allows us not only to continuously improve our processes of internal control, but also ensures that our products comply with appropriate quality product standards and the expectations of our consumers."

ISO 9000 is accepted in more than in 90 countries and is a principal international standard which acknowledges international experience in quality management.
