New MD for FFB North America

Food from Britain (FFB) has appointed David Wilson as managing director of Food from Britain North America.

Wilson joins the business in the new year and will formally take the reins in his new role on 1 April after a three-month hand over period with Steve Dawson, who currently holds the position.

Simon Waring, international management director of FFB, said: "Steve Dawson has run FFB's North American operation very effectively since taking on the role in 1998 and has been both an able ambassador for the British food and drink industry and a highly valued partner for many UK exporters looking to enter or further develop the US and Canada markets."

Wilson joins FFB from Premier Foods, Marlow Foods' Quorn brand division, where he is currently the general manager of the US business, having been a board member of Marlow Foods for more than 11 years as the marketing and international brand director.

Wilson has been a client of FFB for several years, working with the organisation in the US and other markets. He said: "I will want to maintain continuity of the FFB North America service, working with the strong team Steve has developed, and will also seek to bring deeper customer, marketing and supply chain contacts to exporters. I am tremendously excited to be taking on the challenge."
