New Zealand honour's president's dinner

London Retail Meat Traders Association (LRMTA) held its Annual President's Dinner at the Great Hall, Butchers' Hall on Saturday 14 October.

Hosted by Association president Roger Kelsey F Inst M the guest of honour was His Excellency Rt Hon Jonathan Hunt ONZ, New Zealand High Commissioner to the UK and Ambassador to Ireland.

Other guests of the Association present were Doug Brydges OBE Master of the Worshipful Company of Butchers and Neil Curtis GM Inst M President of the National Federation of Meat & Food Traders.

The main course of the dinner included rack of New Zealand Lamb, of which the New Zealand High Commissioner remarked that he felt sure it was the first time he had eaten New Zealand lamb since taking office here 18 months ago, adding that he hoped the next time New Zealand wine would also be included on the menu instead of the Australian.
