Signet move for Carol

Carol Davis has been appointed Signet Breeding Specialist and will help provide recording services to individual breed societies.

Carol Davis, who worked for the Meat and Livestock Commission for 29 years, has been appointed Signet Breeding Specialist and will help provide recording services to individual breed societies.

She will also supply consultancy to many of the major breeding projects in which Signet is involved including the Welsh Beef Quality Improvement Project and the EBLEX Beef Better Returns Programme.

In her new role Carol will become Breed Specialist for Texel, Hampshire Down and Leicester Longwool sheep breeds and the Welsh Black and Stabiliser beef breeds. She will also support Signet's role in promoting the recording of hill sheep breeds in Wales.

Samuel Boon, Signet manager, said: "I am delighted with the appointment. Carol has a tremendous knowledge of the pedigree beef and sheep industry and she will be a major asset to the Signet team."
