Obituary: Nico Delfino
Nico Delfino, died on Tuesday, 13 June, after a short illness at University Hospital, Cardiff, having spent many years of his life dedicated to the meat industry working with the Danish Bacon Company from 1964 to 1991.
Latterly, he worked as national sales manager before being asked, in 1991, to develop Global Delicatessen for the Global Trading plc, which introduced CooPerl bacon to the UK. In 1996, Delfino founded and built his own business, Delfino Rice & Green Ltd in Cardiff, with his son Dominic, which he continued to build into a successful meat import and export business until his death earlier this month.
