Barbecues will be firing up across the UK between 29 May to 4 June 2006 for national BBQ week which also sees the launch of Breast Cancer Campaign's BIG BBQ.
The new campaign is supported by celebrity chef John Torode, Brian Turner, Ben O'Donoghue, Clodagh McKenna, Aldo Zilli, Peter Gordon and Great Food Live host Jeni Barnett. The charity's new initiative for 2006 also has the support of the National BBQ Association and national BBQ week which is now in its tenth year.
Celebrity chef and restauranteur, Brian Turner, said: "BBQ's are great fun for everyone and a chance to get together with friends and family while eating great, healthy food, outdoors. So, this year, why not host a BIG BBQ in aid of Breat Cancer Campaign and help them to continue researching the cure for breast cancer."
A great fundraising pack is available, full of ideas, tips, healthy BBQ recipes and games to play on the day to keep the whole family entertained. To request a fundraising pack or for more information email: bigbbq@bcc-org.uk, visit www.breastcancercampaign.org or call the events team on 020 7749 3700.
