Obituary - Joan Hemming

It is with sorrow we report the death of Joan Hemming, 70, on 9 May at St Mary's Hospice Birmingham after a long illness.
Hemming was secretary of the Birmingham Butchers' Association (BBA) for a few months short of 20 years and was well known and respected throughout the meat trade in the Midlands.
She leaves husband, Ted and son, Andrew, and two grandchildren. Replacing her as secretary of the BBA is Glenda Richards, who has been involved with the association's activities for many years. Her husband, Grayston, is currently president and has held the office on several occasions previously.
