The inventor of the chicken nugget Robert C Baker has died aged 84.

He was a member of the American Poultry Hall of Fame following innovations with poultry including minced poultry meat, chicken baloney and chicken hot dogs. The binder he developed for chicken led to the invention of the 'nugget'. He was a professor of food and poultry science at Cornell University.
