Cooking by Clarissa Dickson-Wright, auction prizes from Sir David Jason and Jensen Button and traditional lamb cutting by Berkhamsted retailer Joe Collier of Eastwoods will be highlights of a charity evening for 500 guests on 10 April.

Held at Berkhamsted's Collegiate School Theatre, the evening stars champion sausage maker Alan Bennett, turkey breeder Paul Kelly and David Lidgate of Lidgate's Charcuterie who will be master of ceremonies.

The event will raise money for St Francis Hospice and Joe Colier's Pepper Foundation which funds nurses for terminally-ill children. Mr Collier has raised over £100,000 over the years for these charities.

The cooking school of celebrity chef Jean Christophe Novelli has donated eight places, worth £3000, for the silent auction and Windsor Farm Shop has donated a hamper. Aida from Little Cravings will be making a Latin American sausage and Keith and Linda Mulford from Denis of Bexley will demonstrate glazes for hams and pies.
