BPEX board addition

THE BRITISH Pig Executive (BPEX) has a new board member. He is Dalehead managing director John Hughes who takes over from Ashley Bowes, of Bowes of Norfolk, who has completed his term of office.

John, nominated by the British Meat Processors Association is from a farming background. He joined Dalehead in 1973 as livestock buyer and was appointed MD in 1999.

He said he looked forward to working with the industry for the good of the industry as a member of the BPEX board.

BPEX Chairman Stewart Houston said: "I would like to welcome John to the board and pay tribute to the sterling work done by Ashley. Ashley joined BPEX soon after it was formed, representing the BPMA, and has been a loyal and committed member for the last six years. I am extremely grateful for all his work."
