Lead shot warning

The Food Standards want less lead to be used in shots to kill game birds after it's survey found contamination above high legal limits.

The Food Standards want less lead to be used in shots to kill game birds after it's survey found contamination above legal limits.

The FSA Heavy Metals survey tested 26 samples of deer and pheasant meat and found six of pheasant had high traces of lead.

It now wants less lead to be used in shot to kill birds.
